CMS Physics

Asking questions and trying to understand the world around us is what makes humans different from every other species on the planet. At CMS scientists are looking into the unknown and trying to answer the most fundamental questions about our Universe. Such research not only increases our understanding but may eventually spark new technologies that change the world we live in. It would have been impossible to design a computer without first understanding the electron, so with new physics who knows what the future holds?
